Quality education over Several Generations

Established in 1924, Shardamandir is known for quality education over several generations. Following Montessori methods, children are encouraged to explore their latent talents through activities along with formal education. Students are endowed with righteous values, which help them face the challenges of the real world.

Today the School has more than 1500 students and imparts education in Gujarati medium (Shishumandir & Vinaymandir) as well as Self Financed English medium (Modern School & High School) from KG (Balmandir) to 12th standard, in Science and Commerce streams.

The School has upheld the values of their noble founders. It has brought out the best in students and groomed them in a stress-free environment and would like to continually strive forth in this direction.

The need

At Shardamandir, education is not merely exam-oriented, but a comprehensive knowledge imparting and character building exercise, but it also recognizes the need for the following:

• better infrastructure
• pleasing environment
• exposure to sports, music, arts, research, science & technology
• recreational facilities

Towards this end, the school has outlined several enhancements that will help sharpen its competitive edge.

What is Shardamandir Nav Nirman:

Infrastructural improvements

• Classrooms with whiteboards, better ventilation and lighting, repairs/replacement of benches, and better ambience.
• Campus wide network for CCTV and delivery of multimedia contents in future.
• Modern toilets within each building wing for all weather easy access.
• Adding 2 more gates due to the upcoming metro station.

New Construction

• A floor above the main building for addition of one more division for Modern School & High School (English Medium). Extension of Prarthna hall of Shishumandir to accommodate all students.
• An additional hall on top of it for indoor sports and recreation such as Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess, etc.
• An indoor sports room near Modern School.

Outdoor Sports & Landscaping

• Development of the ground in front of Modern School for outdoor sports like Volleyball, Badminton, Basketball, etc.
• In addition to existing cricket pitch, provision for other sports practice such as Football, Hockey, Kabbadi, etc.
• Paved areas and shaded sitting areas for students.
• Tree plantation along the compound wall. Green areas at strategic locations. Facelift and beautification of the premises.

S.M.A.R.T. Academy

Shardamandir S.M.A.R.T. (Sports, Music, Arts, Research & Technology) Academy is planned for sports,music, fine arts, painting, dance, drama, crafts and also technology like electronics, robotics, computers and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) activities.

The S.M.A.R.T. Academy shall have classrooms, labs, seminar rooms, Maker space, library and an active section for Shardamandir Alumni.
